EVAN MAC is a hip hop artist and lyricist from Nova Scotia, Canada.
Since his first release in 2016, EVAN has been an outlier in the local hip hop scene. With subject matter depicting addiction, mental health, poverty, and the overall struggle he's experienced, EVAN's music boasts authenticity regardless of how it's perceived. Inspirations in music range from Nas, Smino, Mac Miller, and more.
In 2024, RAPFROMTHEROCK was established as a way to provide support for upcoming artists and to grow the existing hip hop community within Cape Breton. Since then, we have hosted multiple events most notably “RAPFROMTHEPARK in association with BAYITFORWARD”. RFTR continues to find ways to support local artists whether it be through shows, cyphers, promo, etc.
EVAN MAC has performed for MAKIN' WAVES CB, THE OLD SYDNEY SOCIETY, RFTR LIVE and more following a hiatus lasting several years. You can find any latest releases on all platforms. You can also look forward to the debut EP titled “12/21” .
