CPA by day, guitarist/musician/songwriter by night and band member of <a href="spotify:artist:0V00zOgGopGmlAzwbugCM3" data-name="Cheap Steak">Cheap Steak</a>. Evan Pennisi was born in New York City and grew up in the Midwest in Dearborn, Michigan. Returning to NYC later in life, Evan was inspired by the energy of the city and the history of the prolific music scene of the streets of New York. This laid the foundation for the leap of faith to create and write songs on his guitar.
His first album "Vibrations of Life" is a reflection on what it means to be human and what it means to exist. Every time you say a word or play a note a piece of you is left behind forever; creating vibrations through time. This is how the album started and one of the major themes on the album.
Evan went in wanting to just get one song written and recorded. It quickly turned into 10 more. Writing this album became a way to connect with feelings in an attempt to make sense of the world and modern (or post-modern?) life. A world that constantly feels like it's changing and evolving so quickly and distancing us from who we really are. The songs on the album are about the power of feeling emotions, healing, trusting our inner humanity, and finding meaning in how we choose to love and how we choose to exist. Evan hopes the vibrations from these songs resonate with you and evoke feelings & emotions, big or small, that help guide you along your way through life.
