Even Still a solo debut project based in Chapel Hill, NC. The artist has currently released 2 full length LPs, "Ever After" and “Yours Truly”. These albums contain fleshed out melancholy soundscapes that encapsulate the yearning of a lonely heart. Hargiss’s debut album was released less than a year after they taught themself to play the guitar. The second album took much more thoroughness and precision, taking the better half of a year to craft.
The main inspirations that motivated the creation of Even Still were the artist's love for the unique drones of popular slowcore band Duster, along with the catchy lyricism/vocals of Death Cab For Cutie, and King Krule’s jazzy gloom. Without music, emotions and thoughts would be much harder to convey, as music creates a unique connection that simply goes beyond words alone. Thus, Even Still was created as a way to capture complex emotions and experiences through re-creating them to be preserved in the form of song.
