Evens Gregoire was born in Cavaillon, Haiti and raised in the nation’s capital of Port-au Prince. From a young age, he began to write music, sing and play the guitar. He represented his native country throughout the world in countries such as Jamaica, The United States, and various countries in Africa. At the age 17, he was dubbed
“The Haitian Garou” by native fans; a reference to Canadian singing icon, Garou, who marveled fans in 2001 with his hit song “ Que L’amour est violent”. After Winning the first place prize for best vocals in the reggae section of the soley sound system competition, held in Haiti, Evens went on the record and released his debut album “ Sel opsyon an” ( the only option). He’s currently working on his second album, expecting to be available soon!
