Everest Gray is a Pittsburgh/NYC artist making rock music for her small dog, and salty teenage girls who wish they were born in the 90s. She captures the rawness of a heartbroken teenaged diary, with introspective lyrics, intricate melodies, and era-blending vibes.
Everest is a featured artist and the album cover designer of 91.3 Wyep's Reimagination 10, which includes Outsider's View: a deceptively soft and melodic ballad with a soulful, rock twist, that won Carnegie Library’s “Song of the Year” award. Next came Until I Thought It Through: an angry, strong-willed, driving groove with a melody that never gets out of your head. Her latest release, Send Me Down With Her Jesus, is a raw, emotive, instant rock classic, truly unique in its style. She is currently studying at NYU’s Clive Davis institute to hone her craft and continue making great music.
She’s recently been seen performing at JBL SoHo, the Andy Warhol Museum, Auberle’s “Voices Carry” charity Gala, the Carnegie Science Center submarine, Clive Live, Pittsburgh’s Market Square, Trace Brewery, and many other venues. She also appeared on SLB radio for an interview and live acoustic set with Larry Berger.
Outside of rocking, Everest is a prolific writer and actor who wrote, produced, directed, and accompanied her own musical, “The Canary in the Coal Mine.” Her favorite acting roles include Veronica in “Heathers,” Elizabeth in “Pride and Prejudice,” and Mimi in “Rent.”
