evermoon

evermoon is the title chosen by Bengaluru-raised, Darmstadt-based multi-instrumentalist Tejas Ramakrishna for his self-produced musical project. His sound is strung together with influences from pop, alt-rock and Indian folk music to produce a sweet and unique brand of indie-pop of his own.

In 2021, evermoon debuted with its first full-length record, ABRACADABRA, that eluded categorisation into any one style or genre. Packed with vivid lyricism, prodigious musicianship, and wry humour, the album earned quick recognition from Rolling Stone India and other online music journals. Among the several collaborators featured was also Mary Ann Alexander, from her and Ramakrishna's erstwhile, equally acclaimed indie project No Home. The debut was thus a grand and opulent stepping stone into evermoon's more relaxed, even-tempered style that emerged in the 2023 EP, Idylls.

The project's most recent release, the Serpent King EP, displays Ramakrishna's penchant for all things mystical and otherworldly. Combining ideas of divinity, romance, and guilty pleasure, evermoon brings out a surreal and familiar intimacy in this collection of five songs.
