Ewelina Westin writes and releases her music from home on the small island of Gotland where she’s born and raised. She writes and produces by herself but doesn’t feel comfortable with the term artist even though she’s singing. She suffers from a horrible stage fright and prefers to stay safe and sound in the studio.
”This is how I develop, forget about bad stuff and tell stories. That dedicated bubble you create for yourself is just magical. That’s where I’m completely safe and happy.”
The music mostly originates from love, reflections, worries, nature and childhood and comes out as piano driven pop, often with influences from folk.
Hope meets deep melancholy and it’s been said that there’s a touch of film music in many of her songs.

The latest release "Tillbakablick" is a poem written by Bo-Georg Lindgren, also from Gotland.
Ewelina set music to it and recorded it as a folksong. So just walk out in the late summer evening, take a deep breath and listen to it as the nature falls asleep all around you.
