Ex-Girlfriend is a young Californian pop punk rocker who lives and breathes originality into her work. She has a deep love for her genre and puts it all forward into each lyric she sings into her track. A healthcare professional by day and songwriter by night, Ex-Girlfriend brings her unique experiences as a young woman in a modern world and puts them right in your face. Each line of her music has something new to say about life in our world while still capturing you in an upbeat presence.
Although she has had a deep passion for music her whole life, Ex- Girlfriend had at first taken the safe path with a career in nursing but was forced to neglect her creative side because of the demands of the schooling and work that comes with becoming a nurse. After realizing her true aspirations for her life, Ex-Girlfriend decided to take further strides in her art by making her dream of reaching others with her music into a full-time job. Music critics from Jamsphere magazine have described Ex-Girlfriend as “brutally honest without coming across as too earnest or naïve…” (Jamsphere). When talking about her debut song Creepy, Jamsphere writer Jacob Aiden says, “Creepy feels like it was made for the music system of a convertible speeding down the California highway” (Jamsphere).
