Exil Express is a French rock band based in Paris. Founded in the late 2000s around Franco-Turkish songwriter Alican Tayla, the band has gone through several different line-ups, creating an eclectic sound that ranges from alternative rock to post-punk and folk songs. The diversity of their inspirations is also reflected in the oriental sounds and rhythms of some of the tracks, which add an original ambience to their pure rock songs. The band's repertoire, in French, English and Turkish, mixes styles as well as instruments (clarinet, saxophone and percussion are regularly added to the classic bass-drums-guitar-keyboard line-up). Exil Express has released two EPs, 'Zero' and 'Exit', as well as several singles, including 2015's Tout Ce Que Je Veux. Over the years, the band has toured extensively in France and Turkey.
