Exit Ticket is a neo-psychedelic band from Mt. Clemens, Michigan, formed in July of 2023. What began as a new collaboration between Colvin Smith (bass) and Noah Werner (drums), both fresh from their previous music project "Easy Enough", quickly took shape when Werner invited Ian Hughes (guitar), his bandmate from the experimental music group "La Mante Blanche". The three locked in almost instantly, forging a raw and exploratory sound that carried them through their first year. As a trio, Exit Ticket was something of an underground fixture, testing their identity in local venues up and down Gratiot Ave and throughout the Mt. Clemens and Rochester Hills scene.
The band’s real turning point came in December 2024 with the arrival of Daniel Walleman on vocals. His addition transformed Exit Ticket from a simple three-piece into a fully realized four-piece, opening new dimensions in texture, melody, and presence. What was once a tight, instrumentally focused outfit, became a band with a distinct voice, ready to step into new territory.
Now made up of Werner (drums), Smith (bass), Hughes (guitar), and Walleman (vocals), Exit Ticket blends hypnotic grooves, immersive guitar layers, and soaring vocal lines into a sound that feels both raw and otherworldly. Their debut single "Listen to the End" marks the beginning of this new chapter, an introduction to a band still evolving, but already set apart.
