EXOAURA's dynamic duo: Lindsey Church (vocals, piano, arrangements) and Adam Ingram (instrumentation, programming, engineering) have been writing and performing music together in Spokane, WA, USA since 2004. They both hail from the Nu-Metal band "Reflection", who rocked the stages of the Pacific Northwest, USA with their groundbreaking sound of brutal tones juxtaposed with soft, melodic expressions.
Lindsey has trained with many vocal techniques over the years and has studied with some of the industry's incredible vocalists, such as Dan Tompkins of TesseracT/White Moth Black Butterfly. Lindsey has competed and won awards for her singing/songwriting at the World Championship of the Performing Arts, showcasing her passion and skill for combining diverse sounds.
The name EXOAURA was created based on "Exo" meaning outside and "Aura" meaning one's atmosphere, to form a word that describes stepping outside of one's self to look deeper within, using a different perspective.
The 2017 debut release "<a href="spotify:album:3USYP5yzGNzyNSwcXkLAyZ" data-name="Exoaura">Exoaura</a>" delivers thought provoking lyrics with soulful, clean style vocals. The album offers 6 original compositions of heavy, down tuned 8-string guitar riffs, percussive bass grooves with progressive, hard hitting drums and layers of ethereal orchestration. Following up their debut release, EXOAURA has covered Linkin Park's "<a href="spotify:album:5ojz3hq0vO8npGGdcY87ot" data-name="New Divide">New Divide</a>" and Karnivool's "<a href="spotify:album:6wjTKLuaZtz5BkSDcjOCxE" data-name="Synops">Synops</a>" and are currently in the studio writing their sophomore full length album.
