Hailing from Nottingham, Express Office Portico make indie synth pop gems. Their collective influences as a band create a distinctive sound which feels oddly familiar. Lyrically they aim to shed light on mental health, love and loss in a way that hopes to comfort and reassure.
Since forming in 2020, EOP have released several singles and have gained momentum since their first single ‘I Like It Weird’ released in early 2021. Since then, performances at The Bodega in Nottingham and The Lexington in London preceded notable venue appearances at Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms and Rock City.
With the release of singles ‘Cosmic Joke’ and ‘Forget The Name’ in 2022 keeping up their 100% hit rate of featuring on BBC Introducing Midlands. Their latest single ‘No One’ is out now and kicks off their plans for 2024
