Extra Gram Ken

In the words of Andre 3000, the South has something to say and has been saying it for over two decades now. Recently, the Carolinas have been stepping up to the mic with acts like DaBaby and Stunna4Vegas leading the way for underground artists. Extra Gram Ken is right behind them as the next up out of North Carolina. Born in Sanford, Extra Gram Ken is a writer and rapper based out of Raleigh, North Carolina who has taken it from the trap to the studio.
Extra Gram Ken, getting his name from always adding an extra gram in his sacks, began making music in 2016 and since then, has made strides from being just another trapper.


Extra Gram Ken has developed his own sound by practicing different styles and beats.
At an early age, Extra Gram Ken’s mother would make the rapper take piano lessons so that he could play in church. While church didn’t become his outlet of choice, music continued to be a part of Extra Gram Ken’s life. “My voice is different from a lot of people because I can rap and sing, whatever it takes, instead of having one particular sound,” he says about his sound. There’s no sign of Extra Gram Ken letting up with him already by releasing a series of singles in 2019. “Right” features frequent collaborator Paper Lovee and the stand out Lil Donald assisted- track “Delivery” produced by Kid 808 is expected to have visuals to release on World Star Hip Hop.
