At the launch of her alternative music career, Istanbul based singer-songwriter Eylül Çekirge has released her single ‘Çok Kalbimi Kırdın’ and her EP ‘Düğüm’ as an Epic Istanbul Sony Music artist. Shortly after, Eylül released her brand new independent album ‘Dokuzuncu Dünya Savaşı’ written, composed and produced by the artist herself.
Alongside with her collaborations with various artists, Eylül stands-out with her solo live performances. Ankara-born artist had developed an interest and passion for music in her early youth, which led her to take interest in composing her own music and writing lyrics at an early age. She participated in her school school choir, performed in a jazz band, while continuing her piano and composition lessons. After graduating from high school, she moved to the UK to study law, but ended up changing her major to philosophy and graduated from the University of Nottingham. After graduation, Eylül moved to Istanbul to start her professional music career.
Along with her solo music career, Eylül is also involved with scoring and sound-design for independent film projects.
