Fabiana Mendes is a singer, songwriter and performer, an authentic Carioca da Gema, who started taking guitar lessons when she was a teenager. Music runs in the family as her paternal grandfather was a violinist and her grandmother, a pianist.
With a passion for music, she took vocal classes at Villa Lobos School of Music and started to perform in bars, nightclubs and events, singing Bossa Nova and MPB. Fabiana has also appeared on the jazz scene, in a quartet, since 2005.
In 2019, she recorded at Studio Verde, located in Cosme Velho, RJ, two songs in quartet format, under the musical direction of bassist and producer Alex Rocha, with the great musicians Kiko Continentino (piano and arrangement), Kevin Shortall (guitar and guitar), Alex Rocha (against acoustic bass and arrangement) and Rafael Barata (drums). The songs were "Forever Green (Tom Jobim and Paulo Jobim) and " Tristeza de Nós Dois"(Maurício Einhorn, Durval Ferreira and Bebeto), with the special participation of one of his composers and the genius of the harmonica the gaitist Mauricio Einhorn.
The recorded is released as a Single of that two tracks (“Forever Green” and “Tristeza de Nós Dois”) named “Forever Green”, available in all digital platforms such as“I tunes”, “Deezer”, “Spotify” beyond other.
That track “Forever Green” is part of " Brazilian Blend" a musical program of brazilian artists at ORTS Radio in Neetherlands. The Single Forever Green are also available at You Tube in video clip format.
