Fabio Ferri is a multi-instrumentalist and composer based in Bristol, deeply embedded in the city's jazz scene. A key figure in multiple cutting-edge projects, he is recognised for his technical virtuosity and boundary-pushing approach to the electric guitar. His compositions merge jazz, classical, and electronic elements, earning him comparisons to Frank Zappa for his fearless experimentation. Leading his band, he has redefined the live experience, performing at Shambala, Standon Calling, How the Light Gets In, and headlining Belfire at Loco Klub.

Drawing from Bach, Stravinsky, Coltrane, Mingus, and King Crimson, Ferri fuses jazz, trip-hop, jungle, and contemporary classical music. His sound aligns with the Bristol and UK jazz scene, while remaining distinct.

Since July, Ferri has been producing Transfiguration, an album capturing the energy of his live performances. It blends jazz, classical, and Bristol’s underground sounds, recorded with a live rhythm section and layered with top local musicians. The upcoming release has already caught the attention of the press.

His discography reflects his evolution. Übergestalt was an avant-garde solo guitar project, while Griboyedov Incident reworked Russian and Ukrainian composers, bridging avant-garde with a broader audience. Transfiguration pushes this further, expanding his sonic scope while maintaining his experimental edge.
