Taking their name from artists who died before they found fame, Failed Authors are influenced by the quiet/loud dynamic shifts of the <a href="spotify:artist:6zvul52xwTWzilBZl6BUbT" data-name="Pixies">Pixies</a>, the lo-fi garage aesthetic of <a href="spotify:artist:4oV5EVJ0XFWsJKoOvdRPvl" data-name="Guided By Voices">Guided By Voices</a> and the immediate, melodic song writing of <a href="spotify:artist:0epOFNiUfyON9EYx7Tpr6V" data-name="The Strokes">The Strokes</a>.
