FairWind

FairWind was founded in August of 2007 by Vardges Hoveyan (rhythm guitar, vocals), Mkrtich Kalajyan (lead guitar), Aleksan Arshamyan (bass), and Tigran Khachtryan (drums).
Having dozens of their own songs in Armenian, during their famous energetic concerts, the band usually performs covers of famous bands worldwide. FairWind has concerts not only in Yerevan, but they always try to expand and go to the regions of Armenia and Artsakh to perform for people who are not able to attend concerts in the capital. The band has participated in charitable concerts and festivals in various cities of Armenia and Artsakh.
The band recorded live in studio versions of their 4 famous songs (Kapuyt Yerkinq, Metserin, Ynkerner, Sirum Enq) in 2008 in Vibrographus Studio. Further the band recorded and released several songs in other studios based in Yerevan.
During different years and due to various reasons the line-up of the band changed for several times. Starting from 2008 up to 2014, Vatche Gharibyan was the guy responsible for the bass, and also in 2010 for a year, lead guitarist Hrant Sahakyan joined FairWind.
In 2014, Artavazd Baghdasaryan took over the bass, Ben Frunjyan joined FW as a rhythm guitarist and vocals, and the band decided to actively begin recording and releasing new rock compositions in Armenian and start touring in Armenia and neighboring countries.
