Faith in Vain is a Melodic Metalcore band out of Rockford, IL. With influences from Nu-Metal, Hardcore, and Post Hardcore Faith In Vain was able to carve out its own sound in the Metalcore Genre.

Faith in Vain started as a cover band founded by brothers Eric (Drummer) and David (Lead Guitarist) Cline. As the Cline brothers progressed they found themselves carving out their own original sound. Seeking a vocalist passionate about original music, the Cline brothers brought in Michael "Djinger" Hertzner. With the help of Ginger the Cline Brothers were finally able to fully plunge themselves into shaping their own sound, writing their first original track "Drink You." As they progress into a new spectrum of original music they lost their bassist and final carry over from the original lineup, which lead to bringing in Andrew "AJ" Johnson. With the help of AJ they were able to continue pushing forward. After an emotional falling out with their then rhythm guitarist, Tommy Milanovich was brought in to fill the void. Bringing his own original style they were able to write "#ThisIsPersonal" and "Shouts of Despair" in order to complete their first debut album #ThisIsPersonal.
