Light as a summer breeze or a ‘60s movie where kookiness meets the pleasure principle, fake tapes’ soulful jazz flows smooth and bright, its exuberance buoyed by complexity. The liquid tones of Kyla's voice floats above powerful depths as there’s an Ella-esque feel to her assured, zig-zagging singing. Fima's keys and synths mischievously twist harmonic expectation while soaring over the dexterous bass of Michael. Lastly, Tim rules the stage with his sharp, understated grooves completing their playful sound.
