The Fancy Dancers were formed on August 9th 2005 in Woodstock, ON, Canada with Tom Ryerson on vocals and lyrics and Stan Antone on guitars and music. They alternate between full band songs and acoustic numbers. They issued their debut single on April 25th 2008, ‘Generation S.’ which was a cover of the 1995 Owen campus hit and a Billboard single pick.
This was followed by their debut CD, ‘Pagan Love Songs,’ issued on May 2nd 2008. Between their first and second CD's, there was a disc called 'Rare and Unreleased' consisting of demos and live material from 1993 to 1996. As well, Tom and Stan issued six singles between 2010 and 2011 under different band names just to keep things interesting; The Absolute Beginners issued 'Slacker Generation' (June 2010) and 'Small-town' (Oct 2010) , Two Evils issued 'That Power Over Me' (Oct 2010), Witness for the Prosecution issued 'Not You Toy' (Feb 2011) and 'Ab Lib To Fade' (April 2011), while Thomas Thomas issued 'Going Down' (Sept 2011).
These six singles plus eight new songs make up the 2nd Fancy Dancers CD, 'I was never your age,' released on April 22 2012.
The second Fancy Dancers CD single is the brilliant acoustic number, 'Forever the Same,' released May 2 2012. Tom and Stan hope to get out and do some acoustic shows over 2012. Visit them at Facebook and Myspace, and please, buy the music!
Tom & Stan are also involved in Living in Fear, Absolute Beginners, Two Evils, Witness for the Prosecution and Cholera.
