Far Coast

Far Coast is the solo project of Ueli Dutka, a member of the band Dawns Mystery. Drawing inspiration from a variety of genres including disco, psychedelia and rock, Far Coast ingeniously navigates unexplored musical territory and delves into the ethereal realm of untapped grooves. Fuzzy guitar riffs and analogue synths are supported by groovy beats that dive into dreamy melodies.

Far Coast's debut album 'Outside' is a collection and concentration of musical ideas and images. It has a lo-fi character, driven by the inspiration of surf rock, garage and psychedelic pop. Moving more towards 80s disco-pop, 'Falling in Love' still echoes in our minds. Since that 2020 single, Far Coast have been exploring new sonic avenues. Dutka, the mastermind behind Far Coast, has used the unprecedented circumstances of the pandemic to flourish as a producer, collaborating with talented bands such as Dawns Mystery or Bleached Blond Beach Babes.

Staying true to musical innovation, the album 'Time and Space' was released in Mai 2024. With songs like 'Perpetual Change' and 'Never Been the Person', Far Coast deliver a wake-up call to the nostalgia of days gone by while embracing a future full of possibilities. Sun-drenched melodies embody a sense of letting go with lingering warmth. Time and Space' is an invitation to share in the unbridled passion and evo-lution of a musician and producer unafraid to embrace new currents in his musical exploration.
