🧠 Who is Faraii?
Faraii is a Zimbabwean-born rapper and Afro-pop artist driven by purpose, healing, and positive energy. His name means “Be happy” in Shona — and that’s the exact feeling he aims to leave with every listener. His music blends emotionally honest lyricism, feel-good melodies, and conscious messages across Afro-acoustic and Afro-pop sounds.
📀 Music Journey
Faraii began making music for fun with friends, never imagining a career. But in 2019, after a deeply emotional season, he released his debut EP "I Pray We All Make It" on SoundCloud. The raw project was therapeutic and sparked a bigger artistic vision.
In 2020, he made his official platform debut with "Utando", which hit #1 on Botswana's Yarona FM. He's since been featured on both Yarona FM and Gabs FM, building cross-border presence with follow-ups like "Whine Pon Me" and "Letter to a Younger Me".
✨ The Vision
Faraii’s mission is to make music that uplifts, edifies, and heals. In a genre often known for toxic messaging, he takes a stand to celebrate women and radiate light. He also hopes to craft empowering songs for men, especially around mental health.
Whether it’s a soulful ballad or Afro-pop anthem, Faraii is here to shift culture and bring joy — just as his name promises.
