Farron Keep was formed by members Paul Tucci, Zac Mcalpine (Windsor), and Audrey Despres (Thunder Bay/Toronto). Together the trio aimed to create a sonically diverse screamo project. The remote nature at its inception granted the group the experimental liberties with music production to embody the DIY ethos - pulling influences from midwestern emo, math-rock, post-punk and shoegaze. They've encapsulate the spectrum of 90s and contemporary DIY punk using warbled guitars, spoken word, screams, and open tunings. Influences range from the proto-screamo bands of the past like Boys Life and Indian Summer, to more recent math-tinged projects like Kid Crash, Algernon Cadwallader, Gulfer, and Two Knights.
