Faruq is a Singer/Rapper/Dancer/Songwriter based in Singapore. He first started out in the year 2016, well known for his hit songs 'Limitations', 'Look at me' and 'Hanya Kamu' on Youtube. Faruq and his brother(producer) created a label 'CalibrMusic'. Given the opportunity to perform in his school a couple of times, he slowly became very comfortable on stage. Hip-Hop/R&B is his most preferred genre but would love to expand beyond his capabilities to meet his fans enjoyment. He is famous for his authentic inspirational vibes, where he talks mainly about his life and how he hopes for a better world.
He is influenced by artist like Alif, Chris Brown, Drake and many other hiphop artists. 'High Hopes' is his very first big project where he raps about how he wants to be a succesful act and who he wants to collaborate with. Alif, Fariz Jabba and Shigga Shay were all notably called out for in his song. He not only wants a feature, but he also gave a special shout out to Kim Jisoo from the famous k-pop girl group 'Blackpink' as he has a huge crush on her despite knowing how impossible this all may sound, he still has high hopes on it.
