The Fast Actin’ Fuses were formed in Boston, MA in early 2001. Comprised of five guys who had been around the block a few times in different bands, the Fuses were drawn together by their collective interest in making music that combined all of their favorite influences. After a few rehearsals it was obvious that they had stumbled onto an original & exciting blend of all of their favorite styles, a sort of Punk inspired Heavy Rock.
Fast Actin' Fuses played numerous venues all over Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine and New York. Playing with national acts like the Amazing Royal Crowns, Division of Laura Lee, High On Fire & many more, the Fuses earned their reputation as a ferocious live act.
The Boston Phoenix wrote, "the tunes are like AC/DC outtakes that've been sent away to Poison Idea's charm school." Rock scribe Sleazegrinder claimed, "When the FAF get going, they're a f*****g steamroller of bad boy boogie."
In a review of Sayonara, The Noise magazine said, "It's Alice Cooper if he hadn't been kidding". The Northeast Performer Magazine stated "This music is mean and ugly, and that is precisely what makes it so good. It all works to perfection, and the Fast Actin' Fuses have produced a killer record that commands attention, and demands repeat listening."
