Fast Crash is more that a musical outlet. Many of the lyrics intentionally explore social justice issues and current events. Their music also reflects their personal struggles and the role of the individual in society. The band was formed in 2011 a few months after Mario Betancourt moved to Denver, CO. Mario met Joel Patterson, who answered an ad on Craiglist, looking for a drummer to start a punk band. They became very good friends and started looking for a bass player and a singer. For about two years, they tried several singers and bass players. In 2014 a friend of the band and former bass player, Jade Cooley, introduced Jered Eide to the band. He became the lead singer and also the bass player.
