Fate of Orion is a small town band originally from Hoytville, OH. Starting out as a duo, Vinny Rodriguez and Matt Mull met in 6th grade after Vinny had been singing his heart out and playing guitar since the age of 14 and Matt had been playing the drums since the age of 8. These two would find interest in the same music and eventually move to Matt's garage where they would fine tune and sharpen their skills with the guidance of their mentor Mickey Mull. Matt and Vinny would go on to play in various other bands with different members before finding the band’s missing piece, bassist Jose Villegas, and settling on the name Fate of Orion. With the addition of Jose, new life was breathed into F.o.O. and the band has subsequently come into their own unique style of Rock/Metal. The name derives from the group’s common interest in astronomy and the connection between three members and three stars in Orion’s belt. The band has never sounded better than it has today attributed to keeping real friends and real energy on and off the stage.
