Since the beginning as a 15-year-old, she has written songs about situations she dealt with in her life. So now, in her latest project, it is not surprising that she tells her own story about dealing with mental illness, particularly bipolar disorder.
As a 29-year-old Guatemalan singer-songwriter, Fatima Gerendas has reached the top 10 of the charts in Guatemala multiple times and has had many successes including many TV appearances, radio airplay as well as nominations for national prices. As she moved to Vienna, her music style changed to a more modern pop sound, and she even got into rotation in radios in Austria too. She is now working on a new concept album called “Two4Truce” coming out in October 2024 with a few singles coming out sooner. The mixture of auditory textures and the pop appeal underlines the strong message of the songs.
