Fatima Njai is a Berlin based Producer, Songwriter and Recording Artist of German and Gambian descent.The Bremerhaven native was always singing and making beats from a young teen age. She began her definitive creative journey studying for five years, graduating with a diploma in Sound Art and Mixed Media in Saarbrücken in 2006. Her next stop was Berlin.
Here, Fatima immediately focused also on becoming a street musician to simply enhance her performance capabilities.
This led to wide social connections and eventually she met music industry veteran Jerome Sydenham. As her mentor, things moved rapidly and has led to collaborations with Kerri Chandler, Ron Trent, Robert Owens, Roland Clark and EMAN (to name a few). In 2021 Ricardo Villalobos and Gerd Johansen also remixed a Fatima Njai and Jerome Sydenham Track "Trans Afro Express". Fatima‘s sound extends way beyond your staple electronic diet but there is a special link that binds. Fatima Njai will now embark on her first Solo Album. The talent is endless and the future is bright.
