Atlanta's Kings of Rock have come to the conclusion that they are ready to unveil their fleet of new songs.
999 (the new single)
Favorite's new single, 999, is a 3 minute ripper about the tension and stress in the world right now. A punk-style drumbeat and crunchy guitars carve the path for the vocals. "Yeah, it makes you wonder if you're doing it right..." lead singer Crawford Adam belts out during the main hook. The lyrics are catchy and to-the-point, without being flimsy. "The last year has felt like an eternity" says Adam. "If you're struggling and frustrated, this song is for you.
“We caught Covid while recording a song... about Covid." - Crawford Adam
No this isn't Spinal Tap, but rather Favorite's actual experience in the recording studio. While recording 999, Favorite and the song producers (ZK Productions), were careful to take every possible precaution to stay safe. As we're all unfortunately aware, Coronavirus doesn't always respect boundaries and the virus crept into the studio over the two-day session. Thankfully all the cases were mild and everyone fully recovered, but it was no picnic. "We all got it man!" said bassist Chris Casatelli. "I was the first one to find out. I texted everybody to let them know I tested positive and then one-by-one everybody started texting back that they were too." Be on the lookout for new songs in 2021!!!
