Feathervane

Feathervane is an electronic music project from the mind of multimedia creative Simón Marulanda-Mesa. He was born and raised in Texas as a son of Colombian immigrants and began working with small record labels at just 12 years of age, exploring various genres under various aliases. In the decade since, he has settled into atmospheric chillout, melodic house, and lush ambient styles supported by the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:24DO0PijjITGIEWsO8XaPs" data-name="Nora En Pure">Nora En Pure</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6ySxYu68zTsO5ghsThpGtS" data-name="Cosmic Gate">Cosmic Gate</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:521qvhdobR0GzhvU6TFw76" data-name="Tritonal">Tritonal</a>.

His music is driven by the concept of NEW YOUTH, defined as the phenomenon of new experiences that come with age making one feel as though they are once again facing unfamiliar beginnings. This direction succeeded his victory as a DJ in the 2020 season of the <a href="spotify:artist:4YwB41gFHCxY5bcNR3CcIH" data-name="Monstercat">Monstercat</a> Mix Contest, an effort that would lead him to two EP releases with their Silk label in 2022. With additional appearances on Enhanced, Zerothree, <a href="spotify:artist:3H4SwgPWV16ysrzse1NVxk" data-name="Rewoven">Rewoven</a>, ChillYourMind, and more, the young Austin-based artist and <a href="spotify:artist:4eM1PMvj5NTpvtTfkQWRYr" data-name="Simulcats">Simulcats</a> member has also joined lineups alongside renowned talent like <a href="spotify:artist:7mnuMLgvXdCWzyB4sQCG7k" data-name="TWO LANES">TWO LANES</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1abeK6nTH1bQUmfhyfSpPh" data-name="EMBRZ">EMBRZ</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3tSvlEzeDnVbQJBTkIA6nO" data-name="Christian Löffler">Christian Löffler</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5WWUkLXiAbmGwtELcfvB2w" data-name="Genix">Genix</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:1SlTeYo2NYg93bGqlQYkwE" data-name="Wavedash">Wavedash</a>.
