Feldup makes music that confronts the ghosts of the past. His 2023 release, "Stared at from a Distance" (Talitres), was a cathartic clash of raw pain and introspective anthems. It stood as an intimate yet universal attempt to overcome trauma.
While millions first discovered him on YouTube (where he now counts 1.9M subscribers), Feldup’s true dedication lies in his music. He proved this on stage during a completely sold-out 2024-2025 French tour. Alongside his band, The Showerheads, he packed venues night after night, from Toulouse to the Montreux Jazz Festival by way of Paris and Lyon, drawing a young, sharp, and deeply grounded crowd.
Now, he takes a massive step forward with "Towards Happiness" (2026). Begun in 2023, the new album marks a creative turning point: it is his first time stepping into a proper recording space (Amaury Sauvé’s Apiary Studio in Laval) and his first time bringing his full band into the booth.
What started as a narrative of healing quickly morphed into a raw snapshot of a chaotic, spiraling life. Rooted in post-punk and the Windmill scene, the record veers between paranoid, noise-driven peaks and cold, ethereal depths. "Towards Happiness" chronicles a descent into hell, fighting for faint glimmers of hope amid self-destruction. This extreme contrast finds its resolution in the luminous and vulnerable epilogue “One & The Same.” It serves as the centerpiece of his new project, closing out an album built as a deep dive into memory and personal recovery.
