FENCES \\\\ ARE A FOUR-PIECE ALT-ROCK BAND FROM PARIS, FRANCE.

Formed in 2022 from the vibrant energy of eastern Paris, FENCES \\\\ embodies the distinctly French flair for creating stadium rock without selling out stadiums.

Whilst their music was born in the cobbled streets of the City of Light, their powerful and luminous rock leans more toward the Scottish alternative scene or American emo rock of the 2000s; a time when guitars still dominated the airwaves with distortion and finely crafted choruses. Taking inspiration from the rock legends of yesteryear, FENCES \\\\ is firmly grounded in the present, shaped by a generation that disregards genres, breaks rules, and rejects all barriers.

This mindset is infused into their first EPs“Constant Rebirth” (November 17, 2023), and “The Great Listener” (May 31st, 2024): part one/two of a trilogy set to be completed in Summer 2025. Produced as a family effort at Alias Studio with Bertrand Poncet and Bastien Lafaye (from Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!—a French band that has gained international recognition), their debut work is a constant clash between crashing guitars and delicate arrangements of brass and strings, a hallmark of the band’s style.
