Fenix Flexin was born Fenix Rypinski and grew up in Los Angeles, California. He began rapping as a teenager, forming the group <a href="spotify:artist:4tYSBptyGeVyZsk8JC4JHZ">Shoreline Mafia</a> in 2016 with friends and bandmates <a href="spotify:artist:3ppQEG71r7jVpI8RudzycF">OhGeesy</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2gGtD7OGXbNZAY3oCZvZqA">Rob Vicious</a>, and Master Kato. The group quickly rose to worldwide acclaim and rode a wave of success until disbanding in 2020 when Fenix stepped away to pursue a solo career. His debut single, 2021's "10 Toes," was streamed millions of times shortly after its release and he launched a series of self-titled mixtapes, beginning with Fenix Flexin, Vol. 1 in 2021, and continuing with Vols. 2 & 3 over the next two years.
