Ferhat Livaneli is a composer and guitarist who lived in Istanbul and Stockholm.
He had musical education in Stockholm.
He has been active as an art director for many years at the State Modern Folk Music Orchestra in Istanbul and has arranged music.
Nowadays he is directing the Ferhat Livaneli Orchestra, performing concerts, and producing recordings.
He worked with Zülfü Livaneli, Mikis Theodorakis, Maria Farandouri, Joan Baez, Al Di Meola, Giora Feidman and many others.
He has arranged some folk songs for symphony orchestras, that have been played by Berlin Philharmony, Stutgard Symphony, Izmir Opera, and Hacettepe orchestras.
Ferhat has 12 albums and many singles that contain his arrangements and original compositions.
