Born and raised in neighborhood of Matogun, being a backup singer at four square gospel church, Fido brings raw authenticity and emotional depth to Nigeria’s Afrobeat scene. In August 2024, he broke through with his debut hit “Awolowo” a street anthem that quickly caught fire for its lyrical depth and hypnotic rhythm. The song marked the arrival of a bold new voice unafraid to blend pain, pride, and perseverance.
Fido cemented his place in the industry with his second smash hit, “Joy Is Coming,” a track that resonated across the country and beyond. The record spent an astonishing six consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Official Top 100 making it the longest charting song in 2025, capturing hearts with its uplifting message and genre-bending sound.
