Fig Tape is the creative alias of songwriter, producer, and artist Elias Melkersen. Born and raised in Oslo, Norway, and later based in Berlin, Elias was introduced to music at an early age. He began crafting his first songs while still in elementary school, driven by a fascination with electronic music and unconventional sounds. This passion evolved into a signature approach to blending styles and genres seamlessly.

Throughout his career, Elias has collaborated with prominent names in the industry, traveling the globe and leaving his unique mark on various projects. However, the desire to create a solo project free of boundaries and full of creative freedom has always been at his core. Fig Tape's sound is unmistakable, merging electronic elements with indie and alternative pop to carve out a distinct space in the music landscape.
