fiN is a four-piece alternative rock band from Surrey, UK, formed by Luke Joyce (vocals), Jonny Garner (guitar), Simon Harding (drums), and Kerry Lambert (bass). Inspired by bands like dEUS, Pearl Jam, and The Smashing Pumpkins, fiN set out to create a sound that blends the essence of alternative rock with innovative and unexpected twists.
Their debut single, The Artisan, an atmospheric instrumental track fusing the dark intensity of Radiohead with the raw energy of Foo Fighters, quickly gained attention from influential figures, including XFM’s Mary Anne Hobbs. Following this, tracks like Everybody Dies Alone, Twenty Three, and Life Is Wasted On The Living continued to showcase the band’s unique style, with each release accompanied by striking artwork featuring iconic British inventors. These singles were released on their own label, Artisan Records.
Their debut album, Life Is Wasted On The Living, brought together their collection of singles, along with previously unreleased material. Recorded in an abandoned shelving factory and mixed by Adrian Bushby (known for his work with bands like Two Door Cinema Club, Foo Fighters, and Muse), the album is a testament to the band’s ambition and sonic depth.
fiN’s early releases of their first four singles on limited edition 7” vinyl quickly led to sold-out shows at key London venues and tours across Europe, where they supported renowned acts such as Muse, Incubus, The Kooks, and Feeder, earning them a devoted following.
