'This guy has something. Just between Laurel’s Canyon 70’s rock and Peter Doherty’s solo work’
TELERAMA - France
It is a juxtaposition of ethereal melodies that open like silk, and whose success comes from the energy they are able to infuse. The other great quality of this album is due to a mystery, one more, that we do not want to elucidate: the feeling that the songs are linked so naturally that they tell a story without ever repeating. It is all these details that make it's enigmatic elegance. The vast majority of these albums of acoustic folk ballads are real sleeping pills. This one, will know why, produces a diametrically opposite effect.
BLUES AGAIN – France
‘’Back in Anger - Fair Warning: the emotional power of this track can sneak up and overwhelm you.The band attaches the terms folk rock and pop rock to their sound, but those phrases are far too generic for the uniquely breathtaking subtly of Fingers and Cream’s music. At just a little over four minutes, I still feel like this track is too short. I want it to continue endlessly. That’s okay, one can always hit repeat. Give “Back in Anger” a listen below…’’
YABYUM music and arts - USA
‘We don't particularly look after new French bands. Of course there is Aaron, but more recently is the discovery of Fingers and Cream. We can't tell you much about them, but the single John Lingers impressed us. Not least because we were reminded of heroes like Israel Nash , Torgeir Waldemar and Ryley Walker.'
