Biography
Wayne Lewis Aka bioFire Chess has had a deep love for music that started from an early age. As he recalls "I was always singing something no matter where i was, I always had a tune in my head, making up lyrics on the spot"
Growing up showed him some tough times, sometimes having, and sometimes not having enough. At the same time as he looks back, all these experiences have proven to be a worthy teacher in how to survive, and how to persevere. Giving thanks for life is a statement he lives by because he has come to realize once you have life, you have hope. "Life indeed is the greatest gift so we have to give thanks".
As he grew older he gravitated towards the musical teachings of Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, but especially Garnett Silk. Garnetts' music was more than just good music to him, he contemplated the meaning of each line and found great comfort during the stormy times that came in his life. And so it seems fitting that the title of his newly released cd is named The Roads I Travel. Each song from the CD is based from his real life journeys, it's no wonder each track is done with so much passion which one can hear in every song. As an example No Guns speaks to the loss of a youngster he knew growing up, and Music A Di Ting speaks to the obvious love and enthusiasm for music.
