Fire & Sleet

An independent act, Fire & Sleet was conceived by Devank, who started his musical journey by picking up the accordion at the age of 11, gradually moving on to record and produce EDM and house tracks in his bedroom as a teenager.

Currently living somewhere in Canada (picture a cabin in the woods on a cold morning, hot coffee and a fireplace), the self-proclaimed musician wanted to go back to his roots, prior to the genre switch, of pursuing the singer-songwriter, folk-ish style of music after being inspired by numerous indie artists which led to the conception of Fire & Sleet.

The artist defines Fire & Sleet not as just an act or a project but as a mood, a state of mind. The songs speak words of love, happiness but also despair and disappointment, conveying not just the lyric or the music but “that feeling” to the listeners.

Fire & Sleet released its first single, Homecoming, in the spring of 2020. The song was originally written and first recorded in the summer of 2016 but was never released only for it to be re-recorded from scratch and make its way to be officially released on Spotify and other streaming services alike.
