Fireblack (Fitzroy Anthony Maxwell) comes from Port Antonio, Jamaica, in the heart of the jungle, where the grass is green always. He ́s a fisherman, a diver, a footballer, a singer, a percussionist, a sculptor, and a cook. "It ́s fun living there. It's an amazing experience growing up there with cooking, eating, playing drums till late in the night, chanting, singing and burning ganja by King David on the hilltop." He was introduced into really loving music as a whole, through soul music. Fireblack was never involved in any music institute, he was only involved in choir and was playing a very special roll in the church in his childhood. His family never had any sort of instrument, a guitar was a luxurious item he did not have the fortune to own. Fireblack had a breakthrough in his life in understanding music when he was thirteen, as he was singing with a group of people on the beach, Fire realized it wasn’t only about singing, but also about tune, melody, and tempo. At this moment he realized he is a singer in his heart. The "feelmarshall" the reggae told us more about the cultural music scene in JA and most of all in his village where this tuff young lion was just a little man then, he was not the best, but it was important for him to show the world what is inside of him. He got involved in open mics and performing in the streets for the people in his small little town "Port Antonio" Jamaica where most of the Rastafarians have their Bambolawn.
