FirstKlaz is a rising Afrobeats and Afro-fusion artist from Abuja, Nigeria, known for his genre-blending sound, cultural depth, and authentic storytelling. Influenced by legends like Bob Marley and Fela Kuti, his music fuses Afrobeats, Fuji, R&B, hip-hop, and traditional Northern rhythms to create a powerful sonic identity.
As the new school pioneer of the ancient Kalangu sound, FirstKlaz is reviving a rhythm native to the Hausa tribe and making it resonate with a new generation. He disrupted the soundscape with hits like Gen-Z FUJI II featuring Terry Apala and Gen-Z FAAJI with Joeboy, then went viral with GEN-Z AREWA, earning co-signs from Joeboy, ODUMODUBLVCK, NSG Papi, Zlatan, Khaid, Olamide, and more. The track received coverage from The Native Mag, GrungeCake, WordPlay, iMullar, and Rolling Stone Africa.
In 2025, he released ALHAJI, a bold street anthem, and won Best Pop Single at the Galaxy Music Awards. That same year, he made history as the first Gen-Z artist to tour Nigeria, headlining his FirstKlaz & Friends tour across seven states.
