In the late 2000s, Fist of Five went on a rampage in the Midwest. Initially starting out as a cover band playing bars around the University of Oklahoma, they quickly morphed into one of the most sought after bands in the region for their live shows.
Within a year and a half, the band went from beer covered bar stages to playing in large venues throughout the region with bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, & Hinder. Their original music began to play on many radio stations throughout the region and they were frequent guests on a number of in studio radio spots.
With rose petals thrown throughout the audience, smashing guitars in the beginning of the show, and classical theatrical elements incorporated into the performance, Fist of Five has one of the most unique rock shows the world has ever seen. To the band, it's about the art, the music, and the show. Being rockstars is not the goal. It's about presenting the best art humanly possible.
In 2007, the band went on hiatus, but after a 13 years, the band has regrouped after one of their songs was circulated throughout YouTube. Their debut album "Broken Roses" from 2006 was remixed by Sterling Winfield (Pantera/Hellyeah), mastered by the legendary Howie Weinberg.
In Jan 2021, Fist of Five recorded their new album titled, "Sparrow Road" in Ashland, Oregon with producer Sylvia Massy and engineered by Sterling Winfield. The full album is set to be released Summer/Fall 2021.
