Five Day Rhetoric is a group out of Fort Collins, CO. Coming together in February of 2011, they began writing songs about previous events that the band, as an entirety, had experienced. Consisting of a group of driven and talented members, Five Day Rhetoric found the natural ability to mold their different influences into an original sound. Johnny Day, lead guitarist, and Timmy Sweet, drummer, are two musicians who have been jamming together since middle school. The musicianship of the two have given them the ability to keep the group in a groove, and provide catchy beats and rifts, to intricate solos. Two brothers, Devin and Josh Scheer, make up the vocals of the band. The brothers give an interesting twist to dual vocalists, incorporating Devin's natural flow and Josh's melodic tone. Lastly, the band had added two prime features to 5DR; rhythm guitarist Chad De La Barre, who had completed the band as a whole inventing catchy rhythms, and songs, and bass player Caleb Van Arsdol, incorporated funk to the band's sound. Throughout each of the band members diverse influences came forth the "5DR" sound. Five Day Rhetoric currently has an EP out called "Canons" that was curated from band members lives and miscellaneous events that had occurred over the past few years.
