Five Past Forward is more than just a name. It's a process. A way to cope, to express, to survive. Based in Tromsø, Norway, this alternative metal project was created after a series of difficult years and heavy self-reflection.
What started as a personal journaling evolved into an old hobby; songwriting. Not for an audience, but as a form of therapy. A way to make sense of emotions to big to carry in silence. All my songs are built from real experiences such as loss, sorrow, love, anger, joy and growth. While I am not a trained musician or vocalist outside of my own livingroom, Five Past Forward composes lyrics and melodies, then uses AI tools to bring the music to life by adding layers of sound and voice that reflects the emotional intensity I envision, but does not feel technically able to perform myself. With this blend of human vulnerability and artificial assistance I try to create a sound that is deeply personal and honest. Five Past Forward is for listeners who crave meaning in the noise, and connection through chaos.
