Flames Eye, born Kemoy Mark Ellis on May 27, 1985 in the Parish of Clarendon, Jamaica, is undeniably one of the most versatile and exciting new emerging reggae dancehall artists coming out of Kingston. Exposed to reggae music from a tender age, Flames Eye was influenced by artists such as Buju Banton, Garnett Silk and the great General Trees. With a strong voice and tonal quality, combined with his masterful lyrical prose, Flames Eye has a style that speaks for itself. He has been growing and developing as an artist since the age of 13, when he first began writing songs and performing at community shows and events.
In 2011, Flames Eye released ‘Bad dem a hope’ a single featuring Tony Joi, produced by Dre Day Production. Over the past 9 years, Flames Eye has recorded at numerous studios in Kingston, as well as working with legendary producers Clive Hunt and Gavin Blair from Equiknoxx Music.
Most recently Flames Eye has been working with various producers from all around the world, including 8City Grimsmoke, Double X (Flex of T.O.K), D.Dan Production from Jamaica and internationally, yard127 records out of London, England, DB Bros Records out of China and Soultry Dubs from California.
Flames Eye also writes for and co-producers other reggae artists. Flames Eye is an artist who’s songwriting skills, combined with his versatility and dynamic live performance style, make him an artist that is set to take his rightful place in the global reggae and dancehall arena.
