Flammeus is Icelandic musician’s Tumi Hrannar Pálmason’s artist name. He is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer from the northern town of Akureyri. At age 14 he started learning to play the bass guitar, a process which is still ongoing, and since then he’s been writing and playing his own music, be it on the guitar, the piano or the bass guitar. He is currently based in Germany, finishing up a BA degree in jazz performance.
For inspiration Flammeus used to look to hopeless romanticism, and that self-pitying mindset can be heard clearly on his first album "The Yellow" (2019). His second LP, ASAP (As Sane As Possible), heralds a new era of letting go of the self pity and embracing spirituality and a lust for life - spreading that message with music is the artist's main goal.
