Flesh Field is the solo music project of composer Ian Ross who founded the project in Columbus, Ohio in 1996. Blending massive percussion, thick synthesizers, noise, guitar, orchestra, and choirs, Flesh Field's sound is large, aggressive, and cinematic. Flesh Field's material has been released on multiple record labels throughout North America and Europe since 1999 and has been featured in film, television, and video games. Flesh Field has toured in both North America and Europe and worked with countless other artists in the electronic music genre. After initially retiring the project in 2011, Ian Ross, now based in Virginia, resurrected the project in 2023 and is again releasing music on Metropolis Records and Dependent Records.
